Team Overview
This person will be a member of a global Platform Services team that handles core Infrastructure Services for the firm. The Windows Server Team is responsible for the support and maintenance of the firm’s Microsoft infrastructure, Messaging Platform, Remote Computing, Virtualization platform and number of related technologies that support the business. This includes, but is not limited to Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Exchange, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and SharePoint. The team is also responsible for managing number of service-related technologies such as VMWare, Simplivity, Zerto, CyberArk, Micetro (Men&Mice) Facsys, e-Mail Archiving, Netscaler, and
Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop.
Seeking a candidate with strong hands-on experience in DevOps practices, cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), and Microsoft Windows Server environments, with a focus on automation, scalability, and reliability.
Compose, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines to enable automated deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of infrastructure and applications. Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to provision and handle cloud and on-prem environments in a consistent, repeatable manner.
Lead the analysis, observability, logging, and automated remediation of OS-level and infrastructure-related software and hardware issues across hybrid environments, reducing manual intervention and improving mean time to recovery (MTTR).
Role Responsibility
Successful performance in this role requires an individual can perform these duties above a satisfactory level. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill and proficiencies required.
Support Platform Operations in coordinating Windows server infrastructure both on-prem and cloud (Azure or AWS) environment.
Analyze, log, track and resolve software/hardware issues pertaining to server operating system and related services.
Manage Windows Server ticket queue, resolve issues and provide 1st and 2nd level support of all Windows server platforms and associated applications.
Proactive server tuning and performance monitoring using corporate tools like SCOM, Splunk and OBM.
Identify and repair inconsistent Windows server configurations including drift config on Citrix and VMware systems.
Standardization and automation of systems, tasks and workflows using PowerShell.
Participate in Infrastructure project design/implementations and Disaster Recovery exercises.
Produce reports for daily checks, real-time monitoring, and capacity management to support infrastructure management needs.
Operate within an Agile framework, providing regular updates on project progress.
Document all processes and ensure their consistent application across the global Windows server landscape.
Provide weekend support on a rotational basis.
Timely response to escalated support requests.
Regularly update windows servers with the latest security patches and ensure all security measures are compliant and in line with company standard.
Experience
Experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline configuration, automation, and management of cloud infrastructure and services.
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Python for task automation, including Windows administration, and experience in agile project management.
Hands on experience in supporting cloud platforms, especially Azure and AWS.
Advanced experience administering Windows Server (2016, 2019 and 2022), with proficiency in Active Directory, SharePoint, and MS Exchange.
Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, and Office 365 administration, including user and group management, security and compliance, and identity and access management.
Solid understanding of Nutanix HCI (AOS, AHV, Prism) covering virtualization, storage, networking, and high availability in enterprise environments.
Knowledge in VMware (ESXi, vCenter, vSphere, vSAN, TKGI) with a solid grasp of virtual administration and key virtualization concepts including resource allocation, high availability, load balancing, storage, and networking.
Experience with Citrix technologies (VDI, XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler), knowledge in Citrix Provisioning Services, Machine Creation Services and Citrix Cloud.
Proficiency in DNS, DFS, DHCP, IIS, NT File System, Group Policy, Remote Desktop Services, Print Services, and have solid understanding of TCP/IP, SSL/TLS protocols, and load balancing concepts.
Solid grasp of security principles including patch deployment and troubleshooting.
Experience in handling HP and DELL server hardware including rack-mounted and blade servers.
Knowledge in BigFix, SCCM, SCOM, FACSys, Canon SecurePrint (UniFlow), and CyberArk.
Key Requirements
A minimum of 7+ years in comparative industry experience
Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology
Solid grasp of ITIL, Data Analytics, Project Management
The position will cover weekend duty on rotational basis.
