Job Description

About the role:

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms, including AWS, GCP, and Azure. You will use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation to automate and manage our cloud resources. You will also work with CI/CD pipelines, utilizing Bitbucket and Jenkins, to ensure efficient and secure deployment processes. Additionally, you will play a key role in infrastructure governance and security, collaborating with various stakeholders to align cloud strategies with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Develop and maintain scripts (Bash and Python) to supplement IaC.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket and Jenkins for automated deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure cloud solutions align with business objectives and security standards.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for cost and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations specific to financial services.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Establish and enforce cloud governance policies, including cost management, resource allocation, and compliance.
  • Implement robust security measures to protect cloud infrastructure and data, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including IT leadership, security teams, and business units, to ensure cloud strategies support organizational goals.
  • Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6–9 years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or related infrastructure roles.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Terraform, including module design, state management, workspaces, and Cloud-native integrations.
  • Hands-on experience on AWS and Azure
  • Strong knowledge of: Cloud networking, VPC/VNet design, DNS, IAM and security principles, Direct-Connect, CI/CD pipelines, Linux systems and scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
  • Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Experience supporting production-grade cloud workloads.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Payments, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as MAS TRM, PCI-DSS, SOX, or ISO 27001.
  • Background in enterprise-scale cloud migrations or modernization projects.
  • Experience managing AWS Landing Zone with multi-accounts
  • Certifications such as: AWS Solutions Architect /DevOps, Azure Administrator, Terraform Associate

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, highly regulated environments.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and able to lead technical discussions.
  • Able to mentor junior engineers
