The Global Financial Markets (GFM) Division within DBS is seeking a self-driven, analytical and strategic thinker to join the COD Office - Strategic Programs Management function. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team focused on driving strategic programs and initiatives which are critical to the GFM’s short and long-term growth.   

This is a highly visible role with opportunities to work with Management from Head Office in Singapore as well as from across GFM’s global offices in the execution of GFM’s business strategy.  

Your key responsibilities for the role will include:  

  1. Driving end-to-end change programs covering digital and business transformation, regulatory change, operational efficiency as well as controls and risk management.    
  2. Engaging the GFM Business Desks for development of business ideas, preparation of the scope, deliverables, timelines and budget. In addition, establishing the business case and obtaining the necessary approvals to commence the execution.  
  3. Liaising with the business sponsor, product owner and other stakeholders to establish priorities for delivery.
  4. Establishing the program plan and roadmap on initiatives and enhancements for GFM business lines, including the required delivery teams structure and annual budget.  
  5. Reviewing project plans, working with project managers on implementation actions and addressing issues (‘blockers’) and risks.  
  6. Supervising cross functional teams and working with delivery partners across business and technology lines throughout the bank to execute the projects for the achievement of the target business outcomes. 
  7. Ensuring that key project artifacts are maintained throughout the initiative lifecycle such as implementation plans, status reports, risk and issue logs etc. 
  8. Reporting to Management on major project milestones status as well as topics for executive decision or escalation.  
  9. Managing relationships with major vendors and service providers. Engage in contractual negotiations and facilitate vendor evaluation and selection processes.  

Your Experience, Skills and Aptitudes  

  • Relevant experience in a credible Strategy / Management Consulting firm or in a Business Management / COO role at a major bank or financial institution.  
  • Successfully managed and completed multiple large-scale international programs and projects, preferably for a major bank or financial institution. You have held accountable roles for end-to-end execution of the projects.  
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and familiarity with trading/treasury products, system applications and end-to-end processes.  
  • Proficient with all standard MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Note) and utilise AI and Agentic tools to perform your tasks.  
  • A certification in project management and/or Agile (Product Owner or Scrum Master) methodologies would be advantageous. 
  • A leader with the tenacity to succeed and are able to exert positive influence on your colleagues.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and writing skills. You are confident in presentations to senior management and to a mass audience.  
  • Self-starter who is solution-oriented and data driven.  
  • Embrace cultural and racial diversity and can work with people from all organizational levels and functions.
