Job Description:
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is a unique international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria.
VIE Main Requirements:
• European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old
• Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any

The contract duration of VIE is between 6 to 24 months.
A VIE for a Business Development Associate has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Singapore. You will join the Customer Services Business Development APAC team.
Airbus has identified Asia Pacific as a prospect for growth of Services business and a key enabler to bring customer proximity to our airline customers. The job holder will be responsible for supporting the business development team in the following areas: Market Analysis & Insights, and Business Development Projects within the region of APAC.
Tasks & accountabilities:
Understanding of the market:

Collect, analyze and share the market needs/trends and the competitive landscape on integrated services packages or on an ad-hoc basis to build a strong understanding of the market with business intelligence.

Keep updated information on the evolution of the competition, understand their business models and positioning on the value chain in strong relationship with Market Intelligence teams

In line with the strategic priorities defined by Airbus, identify and propose new business opportunities and associated partners adapted to the market being analyzed
-
Develop clear communication material (including presentations) on market understanding for Airbus Customer Services. Communicate forecasts & competitors moves in a simple and meaningful manner to management and other internal stakeholders

Provide contextual information to various teams when needed for their respective projects in relation with political, economic, environmental, regulatory, market situations.
Business Development Projects:

Organize and animate project management in a structured and agile way,
-
Organize progress reviews with the different project or work package leaders across Services business lines,

Liaise with Business Development to define the business model and business case for the partnership and get it validated,

Support all members of the Central Business Development & Partnership teams engaged with APAC as needed to ensure efficient business meetings with their relevant counterparts,

Based on a set of scenarii defined in Multi-Functional Team, propose business opportunities and the associated Service offer,

In link with Customer Services business lines, ensure consistency and completeness of the Service offer, delivering the best value proposition to the customer and maximizing Airbus profitability,

Optimize Airbus NPV/ROI over the full lifecycle of the Service through appropriate business modeling and associated business cases.
This role may involve some travel for business in the APAC Region and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
Required skills:
You have the following skills and experience:

Educated to engineering degree level, specializing in aeronautics.

Experience in project management

Good understanding of financial drivers and business cases

You are recognized for being a self starter that takes initiative, shows leadership values as well as strong communication and negotiation skills

You are recognized for your ability to work with multiple stakeholders and your ability to work with short deadlines.
