About the Role
This Vice President role sits within the GPS APAC iShares and Index Product Strategy team. Based in Hong Kong or Singapore, the role is instrumental in shaping BlackRock’s strategic direction and driving initiatives that strengthen our competitive positioning and growth across the region.
The successful candidate will collaborate across GPS and the broader organization to anticipate evolving client needs and identify how BlackRock can best deliver value. The role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution and offers significant exposure to senior leadership.
The APAC GPS iShares and Index Product Strategy team supports client engagement across institutional and wealth channels, develops thought leadership on strategic segments, drives product innovation and launches, and partners with ecosystem participants such as index providers, exchanges, and broker-dealers. The team drives strategic product initiatives across asset classes, promotes adoption of iShares index and active solutions, and designs new offerings in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Development & Execution
- Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives aligned with corporate goals and market opportunities.
- Contribute to strategy formulation for priority product segments (e.g., Digital Assets, Fixed Income, Active ETFs), spanning product development, sales, marketing, communications, and analytics.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear execution plans and communicate effectively across GPS and the broader firm through presentations and written materials.
Commercialization & Product Campaigns
- Drive execution of commercialization strategies and go-to-market campaigns to achieve commercial outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for strategic initiatives.
- Provide periodic updates to senior management on regional business performance and strategic progress, in partnership with other GPS teams and Client Business
Project Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Demonstrate ownership and initiative, with a bias toward action and results.
- Apply strong project management skills to prioritize and deliver insights at pace.
Market Intelligence & Insights
- Conduct market, competitor, and performance analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Curate and share industry and competitive intelligence with senior leadership.
- Navigate complex datasets to extract insights that support strategic decision-making.
Required Skills / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a strong academic track record.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in product strategy or consulting; experience in asset management or financial services preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives and drive business impact.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Passion for markets and a client-centric mindset.

Our hybrid work model
