Responsibilities

  • Responsible to support the driving and formulating of business promotion strategies for ESG finance business for global and Japanese corporates.

  • To implement monitoring and internal control frameworks/processes for the ESG Finance business as First Line of Defence

  • By embracing change, be a good team player; train/supervise junior staff with proper succession planning

  • To promote business growth strategies for ESG finance business and to act as a key contact person for the transactions with Japanese stakeholders and senior management in Tokyo Head Office and across APAC

  • Build relationship with internal and external customers/stakeholders and earn trust by delivering quality work

Requirements

  • Minimum JLPT N1 Certification, a degree from a Japanese university or equivalent required to effectively communicate with Japanese stakeholders and senior management in Tokyo Head Office and across APAC to promote business growth strategies for Leverage and Acquisition finance business and to act as a key contact person for the transactions 

  • At least ten years of ESG finance business or ESG related business experience.

  • Excel skills to handle several spreadsheets properly (pivot table, vlookup, etc.) and Powerpoint/Word skills to create various reports

  • A team player who is able to work/collaborate well with various stakeholders in a large Tokyo-based Japanese organization with adequate communication skills and strong sense of responsibility

  • Presentation skills to effectively communicate with internal overseas stakeholders including management members of the Bank

  • Accuracy of work to complete the duties to support management and the other marketing staff

  • Understanding and willingness to work closely with the relevant Japanese Corporate primary offices and stakeholders in Japan

  • Good understanding and business experience towards/with Japanese financial institutions
