In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • APAC Events Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a regional events strategy for APAC that supports BNY business priorities, with a strong focus on Markets events, client engagement programs, leadership forums, and strategic internal events. Ensure all events are aligned to business goals, audience needs, brand standards, and regional market dynamics.
  • Executive Visits & Leadership Engagements: Lead the planning and execution of Executive Visits across the APAC region, including internal leadership meetings, client-facing engagements, office visits, town halls, roundtables, and hosted hospitality. Partner closely with senior stakeholders to ensure each visit is highly coordinated, strategically positioned, and delivers a strong client and employee experience.
  • Markets Events Management: Oversee the development and delivery of Markets-focused events across APAC, including client conferences, thought leadership programs, networking events, market outlook sessions, and bespoke hospitality experiences. Partner with regional and global business stakeholders to shape event objectives, messaging, audience strategy, and measurable outcomes.
  • End-to-End Event Planning & Logistics: Manage all aspects of event delivery from concept through execution and post-event wrap-up, including venue sourcing, contract and vendor coordination, AV/production, staging, catering, transportation, travel logistics, shipping, guest management, registration, onsite execution, and contingency planning.
  • Regional Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate across APAC and with global teams including Marketing, Corporate Communications, Corporate Services, Security, Compliance, Risk, business leaders, and executive assistants to ensure events and executive visits are coordinated effectively and delivered to the highest standard.
  • Budget & Vendor Management: Build, track, and manage event budgets across multiple APAC markets; process invoices; monitor spend; and support negotiations with venues, agencies, production partners, and other suppliers to deliver cost-effective, high-quality programs. Maintain strong vendor relationships across the region to support scalable and locally relevant execution.
  • BNY Event Governance & Standards: Ensure all events are executed in accordance with BNY brand, compliance, procurement, risk, and governance requirements. Apply strong knowledge of internal event processes, approval workflows, and control standards to deliver seamless and compliant event experiences.
  • Event Technology & Digital Experience: Manage and optimize event technology platforms such as registration systems, attendee communications tools, mobile apps, virtual/hybrid event platforms, and reporting dashboards. Drive a seamless attendee journey across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.
  • AI-Enabled Event Delivery: Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve event planning, attendee targeting, content personalization, project efficiency, and post-event analysis. Use AI to streamline workflows, generate insights, enhance communications, and identify opportunities to improve audience engagement and event ROI. Champion practical AI adoption within the events function where appropriate.
  • Measurement, Insights & Reporting: Establish clear success metrics for events and executive visits; gather attendee and stakeholder feedback; analyze engagement and outcomes; and deliver post-event reporting with actionable insights. Demonstrate impact through ROI measurement, business outcomes, and recommendations for future improvements.
  • Process Improvement & Operational Excellence: Contribute to the development and refinement of event playbooks, executive visit protocols, checklists, timelines, and best practices to support consistency, scalability, and operational excellence across the APAC region.
 

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • 5–10 years of experience in event management, experiential marketing, hospitality, or a related field, preferably within financial services, B2B marketing, or a highly matrixed global organization.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex events across APAC, including client events, senior leadership engagements, and executive visits.
  • Strong understanding of Markets-related events and the ability to support fast-paced, high-profile programs aligned to commercial objectives and client relationship priorities.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously across countries, time zones, and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong executive presence and experience working with senior leaders, including the ability to manage sensitive logistics, shifting priorities, and high expectations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across regional and global teams, vendors, and business partners.
  • Experience in budget management, invoice processing, and vendor negotiations, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Proficiency with event technology platforms such as Cvent, Salesforce, Workfront, ON24, virtual event platforms, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • AI proficiency and comfort using AI-enabled tools to enhance planning, content development, audience engagement, reporting, and operational efficiency. A curiosity for emerging technologies and their practical application within events is highly valued.
  • Strong attention to detail, a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team supporting a diverse and geographically dispersed region.
