Job Description

As a Transit Associate, your role involves ensuring smooth transit operation flow of all incoming transit cargos, in order to forward the cargos at outbound to the specific sales markets. This will also cover all transit-related issues over all brands and channels in the group-controlled supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for managing the dispatch for incoming sea, air and truck cargo in preparation for re-exports.
  • Checking and entering data of incoming documents into local IT Systems Assistance, collaborate in cargo planning with the 3PL for transit operation in and out of the warehouse.
  • Drive the issuance of shipping invoices for the customs clearance for the particular sales markets, e.g. Southern Hemisphere and franchisee partners.
  • You are responsible of document handling in preparation to issue the bonded transit documents through the 3PL and documents preparation for the service providers, to have shipments “ready to ship”.
  • Arranging re-exports by sea, air, and truck, taking into consideration costs, lead time, etc.
  • KPI monitoring and management.
  • Reviewing of freight and service invoice, handling of transport insurance cases and keeping statistics.
  • Inserting and updating freight rates in the H&M freight system.
  • You collaborate across different business functions & subsidiaries to ensure best trade business solutions, especially with global IMPEX team and service providers.

Qualifications


To be successful in the role of Transit Associate, you have strong experience & knowledge in international shipping, e.g. sea, air, truck, and of customs rules. You use your leadership, skills, and experience to inspire, drive impactful results while effectively maintaining a sense of meticulousness and data integrity.

What you need to succeed:

  • Experienced and knowledgeable in international shipping, e.g. sea, air, truck.
  • Strong knowledge of customs rules.
  • Good IT knowledge, e.g. Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Insights drive with strong prioritization skills.
  • Effective collaborator with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position, reporting to the Transit Manager.

This position is based in Singapore.
