About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate or Vice President to join our Transfer Agency Oversight team (TAS) in Singapore, part of the Global Accounting and Product Services (GAAPS) group. This team manages and oversees outsourced operations performed by appointed Transfer Agencies for BlackRock’s onshore APAC funds and acts as a key contact for Luxembourg and Dublin funds.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work across internal teams and external partners, driving operational excellence and innovation in a risk-controlled and compliant environment.

Responsibilities include :

  • Offer oversight and solutions in Transfer Agency across specified locations, serving as a key expert on function and process needs.

  • Manage providers' service development to meet global product needs, ensuring a cohesive transfer agency model for BlackRock.

  • Lead the way with our third-party service providers and BlackRock business areas. Manage transfer agency and related operating model aspects, prioritizing work needed, and represent the function at project meetings.

  • Ensure new products are aligned with all relevant BlackRock policies and with relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Foster positive connections with Transfer Agency Services teams worldwide to address issues and oversee delivery to APAC clients, including identifying and managing necessary service changes to meet APAC client requirements.

  • Work with team and providers to meet BlackRock global oversight standards, implement controls, reports, metrics, and management info.

  • Apply transfer agency and operating model knowledge to develop product features, solving operational challenges and risks, advancing concerns to upper management.

  • Seek out any chances to enhance business procedures necessary for supervision and operational structure resulting from new product characteristics.

  • Engage and maintain relationships with key partners across the firm to effectively navigate the global organization.

Skills / Experience :

  • Must have 5-10 years of experience in transfer agency within APAC mutual funds.

  • Show deep technical knowledge in business model, products, investments, and fund management processes.

  • Demonstrate a risk focus and possess knowledge of the risk inherent in the business and appropriate control framework required taking account of the relevant regulatory environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

  • Maintain high delivery standards for self, team, providers, and foster a consistent standard-setting environment.

  • Prepared to take initiative, work flexibly to help the team achieve its goals, and respond positively to change.

  • Ability to identify and raise issues, work proactively with other business units and our providers to resolve them appropriately.

  • Good experience contributing to cross-functional projects passionate about crafting digital strategy and improving operational excellence will be a strong advantage.
