The Trade Operations Team Lead is responsible for operational services execution, resolving complex client issues, ensuring compliance with regulations, overseeing trade lifecycle processes, and coordinating with various teams to enhance operational efficiency. The role includes managing stakeholder relationships and adopting new technologies for improved service delivery.
Your Role in Our Story:
This position of an Operations Team Leader (APAC) plays a pivotal role to secure the achievement of our global ambitions and keeping our clients, ACT and its employees successful & safe in an effective, efficient and engaging way.
Key components of this role are:
- Steering and delivering day-to-day execution of operational services for corporate or complex clients/ counterparties, including analyzing results to achieve the highest level of quality;
- Support team members to deliver day-to-day operational execution reaching Ops KPIs
- Work together with Global Operations Director to improve execution and determining additional Ops KPIs
- Adopting new technology and translating best practices into improved ways of working that are more effective, efficient and client-centric;
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Risk and IT on resolving complex or high-risk issues and delivering bespoke services to our clients. Connecting with clients to resolve issues proactively with the highest operations standards.
Your day to day responsibilities may include:
- Support the execution of trades and services of our international product and client portfolio;
- Collaborate with commercial teams to resolve urgent operational issues and connect with corporate or complex clients and counterparties where needed;
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations, and procedures that apply to ACT’s policies and procedures;
- Oversee the execution of the trade life cycle process: from approved trade to invoice;
- Reconcile our positions and inventory across different platforms and systems;
- Resolve different levels of settlement issues, including but not limited to:
- Operational tradeline changes in CRM/ CTRM; operational flow issues between systems; matching trade/delivery issues; pushing failed orders; system management items including metadata managements, etc.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including sales consultants and clients for assuring seamless service delivery;
- Is actively involved in new groupwide (IT & Ops) initiatives to achieve straight through processing and reducing operational risks;
- Coordinates tasks with peers and supports selected colleagues to improve their day-to-day performance.
- Set up registries for trading in new locations in APAC.
Your Expertise:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
- Bachelor/ Master Degree in Business Administration; relevant business experience.
- 7-10 years of experience; preferably in an operational or client delivery role; international organisation;
- Fluent in English/Chinese due to our coverage of China and Singapore. Other languages are a plus
- Advanced level of Excel skills and comfortable with working in different systems
- Detail oriented and precise
- Working in a multi-cultural, inclusive, and international environment
- Self-starter mentality, with a focus on achieving commercial results
- Knowledge of, and interest in, energy markets
- Ability to work in a fast-pace, multicultural, global environment and adapt to unforeseen circumstances;
