The Trade Control Analyst will analyze trading positions, update PNL reports, coordinate month-end book closures, and assist with budgeting reports.
Job Description
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY DUTIES
Daily/Weekly
- Keep abreast with the developments of the global commodity market and highlight to management market movements/developments that might affect our Positions/PNL
- Updating of trades details and generating Daily Mark-to-Market report for realized PNL of closed positions and unrealized PNL of open positions
- Liaise with Traders to reconcile trader’s PNL with Trade Control’s Net Position Report on a daily basis.
- Provide analysis on PNL & Position movements for our weekly management review
- Implement and maintain internal controls and ensure efficiencies in operational and financial processes
Monthly
- Coordinate to ensure smooth closure of books during month-end
- Liaise with Traders to reconcile trader’s PNL with Trade Control reported figures
- Provide analysis on driving factors for PNL from a value chain perspective
- Prepare charts/commentaries on Business Unit performance for our monthly updates to senior management
Ad-hoc
- Assist in preparation of ad-hoc reports requested by management
- Asist in preparation work for annual budgeting exercise
