The Knowledge Services (KS) Business unit is a part of the IET Gas Technology Services Division of Baker Hughes. It offers various capabilities and services such as GTS Digital Services, Advanced Engineering, Customer Training, and Consultative Services. The goal of KS is to provide customers with a combination of engineering expertise and advanced technology solutions.

As a Technical Proposals Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating closely with the commercial manager and product developer in KS Contractual Services negotiation, focusing on the technical scope of knowledge services.
- Analyzing technical specifications for tenders and Requests for Quotation, evaluating Scope of Supply and risk factors
- Defining and prepare comprehensive Scope of Work, optimizing products/units, digital training, advanced engineering, schedule, industrial scheme, and performance calculations.
- Developing and manage the cost control of all offered services.
- Identifying and mitigate technical implementation risks, ensuring effective management of technical risk.
- Engaging relevant functions to address deviations and specific requests, optimizing proposal generation.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of ITO processes and tools alongside KS/Services counterparts.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor in technical field from an accredited college or university (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Background preferred)
- Be familiar with BH O&G Turbomachinery Equipment, particularly in relation with Services, Control Systems and Digital for the aftermarket
- Have proven industry experience in a technical role
- Be able to communicate both written and spoken fluently in English
- Be able to travel with short notice, as required
- Have excellent multitasking and time management skills.
- Be a team player dedicated to the company’s success.
- Have excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Be a customer-centric problem solver with project understanding and autonomy.
- Being Green Belt Certified would be advantageous
