The engineering organization owns building and delivering leading edge Practice Management Software and Payment Solutions for our customers. Technical project managers report into the Engineering Operations group responsible for enabling consistent processes, standards & best practices.
Our Project Managers are highly visible leaders, building bridges across 8am to ensure projects are effectively planned and delivered. Our Project Managers also coach/mentor teams, develop feedback mechanisms for project teams to continuously learn, grow and improve.

What you'll do:
- Create and Manage technical project plans and schedules highlighting various development phases of our SDLC (software development life cycle)
- Work with the engineers and the cross-functional project leaders to set and manage priorities
- Understand technical aspects of the project and provide technical guidance to the team as needed
- Coordinate across the teams to ensure everyone is aligned with the priorities and dependencies
- Track progress routinely and communicate project status across the teams on a regular basis, making sure all parties are aware of the progress at all times
- Identify, assess and mitigate potential risks throughout the project
- Document and track dependencies, risks, and issues
- Identify deliverables by functional group
- Define Success criteria and monitor
- Facilitate KPI, metrics definition, document data requirements and Reporting needs
- Process definition and quality controls (checklists, signoffs, rollback plans)
- Build and manage Project artifact repository
- Ensure standards and best practices are followed to maintain consistency, repeatability, predictability
About you:
- 7+ years of experience, as an Analyst, Development Manager or Developer, working with technical teams developing software applications.
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Project Leader, Program Manager preferably using Scrum methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC principles and practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and resolve technical and project-related issues.
- Ability to motivate and guide teams, resolve conflicts, and foster collaboration.
- Excellent facilitation skills with ability to influence change at higher levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of competency
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and unforeseen challenges
- Ability to balance stakeholder needs and project constraints
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation.

Additional Information
The annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000. The salary range for performing this role outside of the US / Austin / California may differ. 8am is committed to offering competitive, fair and commensurate compensation and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and education.
