Applied's Joint Lab for Applied Process Equipment Accelerator (APEX) aims to develop materials and components for semiconductor equipment, as well as new processes that maximize resource efficiency and minimize material waste in manufacturing. These innovations are targeted for Industry of Things (IoT), Communications, Automotive, Power and Sensors (ICAPS) markets, which are strategic growth areas for Applied Materials. The joint lab will also enable suppliers including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore to support development of these solutions.
As a Program Manager, you will support APEX Strategy and Operations leadership to drive and identify new growth opportunities and drive key projects for materials and component development critical for semiconductor equipment, taking projects from concept and feasibility through to supplier development and technology commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
Drive strategic programs to establish plans, milestones and priorities and ensure regular communications / updates to stakeholders. Anticipate risks and roadblocks, manage program prioritization, timelines, and balance business needs versus technical / operational constraints.
Support management to identify key requirements, develop & implement strategic growth agendas including a strong focus on talent, and productivity, and suppliers
Structure and execute analyses to develop recommendations and drive execution / implementation in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Collaborate with internal teams across different to ensure seamless integration of partner activities with overall business operations.
Build and maintain relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders (suppliers, public research entities, universities, tech startup ecosystem) to ensure Applied Materials is strategically positioned

Education and Experience
Bachelor in any Engineering or Science related discipline
8+ years in technical project/program management within semiconductor or high-tech R&D environments.
Strong understanding of R&D processes and product development lifecycle.
Good knowledge of the high technology or semiconductor industry
Experiences in matrixed organizations and , strategic operations, project management
Experienced in structuring and negotiating partnership deals; Familiarity with legal contracts e.g. NDAs, research collaboration agreements, MOUs
Experiences working across time zones in multi-functional global teams
