The primary role of IT Project/Program Management function is to manage end-to-end cross-functional delivery of IT program / projects. Key deliverables include requirements gathering, documentation, scoping, defining goals/deadlines, resource allocation, tracking budget and implementation. Management of projects in accordance with the ResMed Quality Management System (QMS). Working with internal and external groups, suppliers and other organizations as part of the delivery of the software system, including focus on integration and test activities.

- The primary objective of IT Project Management specialization within the IT Project/Program Management Job Family is to facilitate project and program level processes and execution, escalate impediments, manage risk and help drive continuous improvement across the projects and programs.
- Key responsibilities include: defining project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; overcoming resource constraints; managing risk and issues; identification of intra-project timing and dependencies, leadership, coaching and mentoring teams to meet and exceed commitments; organizing and facilitating project status or agile ceremonies; preparing progress reports and communications for stakeholders.
- Performs work in a specialized area of expertise that requires knowledge of fundamental themes, principles and concepts. Typically requires a university degree or equivalent work experience.
- Responsibilities might include:
(1) Performing routine professional-based activities (early in career)
(2) Contributing to and managing projects (mid-career)
(3) Providing advice/direction in primary areas of expertise (specialist and expert)
(4) Leveraging professional expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results (principal)relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results (principal) - Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
- Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups.
- Leads project teams to achieve milestones and objectives.
- Serves as a best practice resource within own sub-function or function.
