What's the role?

As a Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for accelerating adoption of HERE products by our key customers and partners in Japan, with primary focus on car navigation systems and smartphone mobility apps.

  • You will evangelize our offerings by articulating key value propositions as well as the technical advantages of the services offered and provide first-line technical consultation.
  • You will also drive product enhancements efforts through consolidation of customer feedback, market insights and product gap analysis.
  • You will work in close collaboration with customers and internal product management and engineering teams to meet this goal.

Another key responsibility is to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and performance prior to release by developing, implementing, and executing manual and automated test cases.

  • You will assist the team in troubleshooting issues that may arise during testing phase and in production phase.
  • You will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders locally and globally to improve the tests.


Who are you?

You are already an experienced technical product manager with Software Testing skills. You may also be an experienced Software Tester ,but looking to grow your career in the Product Management space.

You will have success on this role if you possess the following skills, abilities and experience. 

  • A Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields
  • Understanding of product development lifecycle, including market needs identification, product roadmap development and product launch.
  • Experience in E2E testing, application testing on Unix/Linux/Android/ iOS, deriving test cases from requirements, and Issue tracking tools.
  • Hands on experience with tools like Jira, Gitlab, AWS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent collaborative and communication skills
  • Very good command of written and spoken – Japanese and English

The following would add extra value to your contribution in our team:

  • Knowledge of location-based services such as mapping, navigation, GPS
  • Knowledge of Phython/Jupyter Notebook + Git setup
  • Knowledge of programming iOS (with Objective-C or Swift) and Android with Java or Kotlin
  • Experience in software product management, go-to-market practice and business development
