Join Murex and work on the challenges of an industry at the forefront of innovation and thrive in a people-centric environment.

You’ll be part of one global team where you can learn fast and stay true to yourself.

Role Overview:

The Technical Product Department hosts all the experts who support Murex clients in implementing and maintaining the MX.3 solution. It includes 5 domains: S4C1, PAC2, CEM3, Test Engineering and Technical Architecture.

The main objective of the Technical Architecture domain is that with Murex involvement throughout the entire life cycle of the instance, the client can optimize the total cost of ownership (TCO) of MX.3 and achieve benefits from innovations and time-to-market. The mission is to continuously improve the technical quality of the portfolio of MX.3 instances during their entire life cycle through sustainable design, which aims to be better, faster, cheaper, and more flexible. This approach seeks to reduce time to value, enhance understanding of instance usage and actual business needs, and enable better upgrades for shorter time to market.

To support our transformation, we are looking to hire a Technical Architect to join the team! You will be based in Singapore office to drive the deployment of activities for a portfolio of clients in the APAC region.

In today's environment, solving complex problems throughout the Murex instance life cycle—whether in presales, projects, or production—requires a team to integrate knowledge from various areas of expertise. Accordingly, there is a demand for individuals with T-shaped expertise: those who possess deep knowledge in at least one specific area (such as S4C or PAC) and have the capability to leverage this knowledge across different functional silos. The Architecture domain seeks such professionals to enhance the team's growth and effectiveness.

A Technical Architect in Murex should have a broad expertise across many disciplines, allowing them to identify patterns and devise solutions. They break down complex problems into smaller, solvable parts.

They bridge different expert areas (PAC, S4C, CEM, Test, Project methodology, functional streams), explaining how each person's work interconnects. A Technical Architect is characterized by high openness to new experiences and a desire for knowledge.

Your main mission consists of:

· Acting as a leader and authority in the technical evolution of the Murex solution for the client.

· Acting as an agent of change for Agile/DevOps transformation around MX.3 at the client.

· Growing and sharing technical architecture knowledge.

· Being the trusted advisor of the client on their instance architecture.

· Influencing the technical roadmap of Murex services and product offers

Your responsibilities include:

· Ensuring technical quality of instances

· Advocating for best architecture design practices

· Conducting design and code reviews on key topics

· Identifying expertise gaps in project teams

· Promoting innovation at the client

· Serving as main contact for the client's design board on major decisions

· Collaborating with Project Managers and Functional Solution Architects for smooth project delivery and instance quality

· Identifying opportunities for cross-team collaboration at Murex

· Defining comprehensive test and migration strategy

· Assessing production quality with experts to contribute to CET plan strategies

· Participating in presales activities

Typical Activities

· Identify and explain trade-offs between different technical solutions

· Define deployment models and disaster recovery strategies.

· Define system integration technology and design patterns.

· Foster MXopenconnect adoption at the client.

· Rationalize UDF usage and data lookup tables usage.

· Push for native functionalities vs custom ones or workarounds.

· Conduct performance and NFRs reviews.

· Promote software development best practices and adapt them to the MX.3 platform

As an active member the Technical Department, you will also need to contribute to the development of the domain:

· Share awareness on market and industry trends

· On-board new Technical Architects through building solution expertise on your strength areas or on specificities of its geographic regions

· Participate actively in initiatives and innovation around methodologies (Agile, CI, UaaS, Test, data migration…) with other teams (Service Offers, PM, Functional and technical domains)

Required skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.

· Minimum 10 years of relevant IT or development experience.

· Strong knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes.

· Proficiency in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud computing, enterprise application integration, large scale platform development).

· Experience with multiple cloud architectures and migration to public cloud (certification preferred).

· Ability to engage with business functions and gather requirements directly.

· Independent problem-solving skills with minimal oversight.

· Evaluation of technologies for future architecture recommendations.

· Capital markets software experience (trading, risk management or operations). Prior experience with Murex MX.3 platform is a plus.

· If already a Murex consultant, proven expertise in development, S4C or PAC domains (level E or above)

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English. Ability to explain and articulate complex technical topics to experts and to laymen.

· Strong analytical abilities to understand complex issues and be able to either dive into details with experts or summarize for non-experts.

· Fluency in Japanese or Chinese is a plus
