Your day at NTT DATA

The Taxation Accountant is a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for preparing and submitting tax statements and returns for the company.
This role provides advice on financial and tax matters and provides support to ensure tax legislation and planning compliance.
This role takes responsibility for all related documentation, support and research any relevant issues, responding to tax correspondence and assisting with the preparation of the quarterly and annual tax provision and related tax accounting.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uses tax form instructions and tax tables to make proper entries on tax submission forms.
  • Assists with the development of corporate tax plan that ensure proper reporting of tax planning initiatives.
  • Ensures timely and accurate filing of all relevant direct and indirect tax returns.
  • Assists with finding tax solution to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings.
  • Assists with the management of tax software and implement new features and updates as and when required.
  • Coordinates specific processes to support the implementation and execution of the taxation cycle in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepares tax returns to ensure their alignment to federal and state income taxes for company at a local level for quarterly and annual federal and related tax compliance.
  • Assists with the preparation of the quarterly and annual tax provision and related tax accounting such as the reconciliation of tax data on financial statements.
  • Prepares a large number of documents on behalf of the company including written correspondence and documents to be submitted to the relevant taxation bodies.
  • Prepares responses related to all types of tax and collates the information required for tax audits and queries raised by taxation regulators in the region.
  • Obtains any supporting documents and compiles tax schedules for annual income tax returns.
  • Assists with the coordination and reviews of the payment of taxes and remains abreast of developments and trends in their area of focus.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance / accounting or related field preferred.
  • Registered with a professional body as Tax Practitioner

Required Experience:

  • Seasoned demonstrated work experience in similar role.
  • Seasoned demonstrated work experience in a related environment.
  • Seasoned demonstrated experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
