We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Executive to lead recruiting in the South East Asia region, based in Singapore. This position provides support to our business leaders to optimize company objectives. He/she is a key member of the Talent Acquisition Team reporting directly to the VP of Global Talent Acquisition.
A successful candidate will require strong collaboration between TA and the Business, and drive efforts to improve efficiency and productivity of the organization; partnering with leadership to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and deliver strategic initiatives across the business; and collaborating in creation of long-range talent plans for the business. This role will provide the opportunity to significantly shape and own how we think about Talent Acquisition within the SEA Region as well as being in a great position to directly contribute to the overall global strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Applied Material’s recruitment process for South East Asia, particularly Singapore and Malaysia.
- Be a key member of the APAC Talent Acquisition leadership team and provide input and advisory for the region.
- Work with senior leader stakeholders to understand workforce planning needs and develop proactive strategy to meet forecasted needs.
- Lead the market for early talent hiring on campus and direct, through effective use of recruitment strategies and hiring pipelines.
- Enhance employer branding initiatives to position company as an employer of choice in the competitive labor market.
- Champion a culture of productivity, implementing projects that increase recruiting effectiveness and velocity.
- Lead, mentor, and empower a team of recruitment professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Qualifications
- Business Partnering - creating a real and active partnership with both business and operations.
- Organization Change Management – proven experience driving change in an organization; ability to manage a successful transition from current to desired culture, practices, structure, and environment.
- Business Acumen – exposure to broad business concepts, processes, and practices.
- Strategy Planning – experience with different approaches, tools, techniques for solving problems & making sound recommendations.
- People Development/Personnel Management/Communication – strong leader with the ability to lead teams and provide opportunities to continuously learn & develop
- Flexibility & Adaptability – has a style that can use approaches, tools, and techniques for dealing with a rapidly changing environment.
- Data Analytics – exposure to data analysis tools to sort through and analyze data identifying factors impacting performance and providing insight into trends.
- Technical Tools – familiarity with tools and AI techniques for exploring and evaluating pipelines and results.
Experience & Skills
- First level university degree; advanced university degree preferred.
- 10 + years increasing responsibility in HR with emphasis in talent acquisition or talent/planning management.
- 5 +years leadership experience, including virtual teams, permanent and contract resources.
- Experience working in a complex, global company. Semi-conductor or adjacent industry a big plus.
- Stakeholder management at the executive level.
- Superior communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences.
- Experience working in a rapidly changing, transformational environment.
- Experience with executive recruiting preferred but not required.
