What you will do:

This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in traffic management systems, data analysis, and field equipment support. The intern will work with the team members from the Traffic team to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of both frontend and backend systems, as well as supporting field operations. The intern will need to be meticulous and analytical, and able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure seamless system reliability and effective field operations.

How you will do it:

  • Learn and understand the different Traffic Systems and their applications in the actual environment.

  • Learn and support the Team to perform preventive and predictive maintenance (inspection/troubleshoot/testing) of the frontend and backend systems.

  • Learn and support the team on backend system configurations for traffic monitoring devices installed in the field.

  • Assist the team with monitoring and controlling field operations, including providing technical support during testing and deployments.

  • Facilitate and support on functional testing and commissioning of new traffic monitoring equipment, and to maintain an accurate inventory of field equipment within the system, ensuring data reflects the actual installation status.

  • Learn about data management and support to generate comprehensive reports on system performance and equipment status for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Work with the team to develop system/process improvements.

What we look for:

  • Pursuing a diploma in Information Techology/Computer Science from a reputable educational institution

  • Able to commit to a full-time internship for 6 months preferred.

  • Basic familiarity with backend and frontend system architecture

  • Understanding of network configurations and protocols

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail for accurate configuration updates and record maintenance

  • Willingness to continually learn and update skills along with a strong sense of ownership

Learning Outcomes:

Candidate can expect to gain technical expertise in system monitoring, backend, and frontend architecture, as well as hands-on experience with enterprise system. Additionally, the role offers opportunities for enhancing problem-solving, data management and communication skills.
