The System Design Engineer is responsible for providing pre-sales technical support, designing solutions for security systems, reviewing specifications, managing compliance appraisals, and collaborating with various teams to meet project requirements within deadlines.

As part of BOSCH’s business expansion strategy, our Security Solutions Business Unit is seeking for a technical competent System Design Engineer to join our team in Singapore office.
Job Description
- Provide pre-sales technical support to propose cost competitive system design solution based on tender spec & customer requirement
- Design solutions for Access Control, CCTV, Public Address, Emergency Voice Communication, Fire Alarm, Integrated Security Management and other necessary system as deemed required by the prospective customer / project (90 %)
- Foundational understanding of IT and Network systems will be necessary in design and technical assessments.
- Knowledge of Cyber-security issues and solutions will be an advantage.
- Review technical specification, system schematic, floor-plan drawings documents
- Provide system proposal and design that meet requirements & be cost competitive
- Manage the technical Compliance Appraisal, prepare Bill of Quantities and system write-up for the designed systems
- Manage Installation Work Appraisal (Scope of Work for installation)
- Prepare technical document submissions & product sourcing
- Support technical meeting with customers, end-users, consultants & vendors etc
- Demonstrate systems / products performance to clients and staffs
- Collaborate with sales, purchase & admin teams to meet tender submission date in time
- Product evaluation & POC support on potential system
- Report various system job request status with respect to milestone schedule to Section Head and all technical problem hindering system design progress
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor / Diploma in the Electrical, IT, Computer Science or related study
- At least 3- 5 years of experience in system engineering in a similar position of relevant industry
- Must possess good presentation skill and knowledge in product/systems for security & ELV
- Have a pleasant personality and possess great leadership skill
- Must be proactive, able to self-motivate and have self-independent attitude towards assigned tasks
- Must be customer oriented and with entrepreneurial mindset
- Must be result and future oriented
- Knowledge on Electronic Security systems (Card Access, CCTV (Analog/IP), Intrusion, Fire & PA etc), Construction, ELV project relevant law, regulation and requirements will be an added advantage
