Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SWIFT AHM (Alliance Host Messaging) Technical Consultant to design, implement, and support SWIFT messaging solutions within a banking or financial services environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, integration, and ongoing support of SWIFT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 SWIFT Infrastructure & AHM Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain SWIFT Alliance Messaging Hub (AHM).
- Manage SWIFT Alliance Access (SAA) and related SWIFT components.
- Configure routing rules, message transformation, and filtering in AHM.
- Monitor SWIFT message flows (MT and MX formats) and ensure successful delivery.
- Perform SWIFT upgrades, patches, and version migrations.
🔹 Integration & Messaging
- Integrate SWIFT AHM with core banking systems, payment engines, and treasury platforms.
- Configure and manage:
- FIN (MT messages)
- FileAct
- InterAct
- SWIFTNet services
- Implement ISO 20022 (MX) message formats and coexistence strategy.
- Support SWIFT CBPR+ migration initiatives.
🔹 Security & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with SWIFT CSP (Customer Security Programme).
- Manage HSM integration and PKI certificates.
- Maintain secure connectivity via SWIFTNet Link.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and security reviews.
🔹 Support & Operations
- Provide L2/L3 production support for SWIFT systems.
- Troubleshoot messaging failures, queue backlogs, and connectivity issues.
- Perform DR drills and maintain high availability configurations.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
🔹 Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with payment operations, treasury, compliance, and infrastructure teams.
- Coordinate with SWIFT support and vendors during incidents and upgrades.
- Participate in project planning and technical feasibility assessments.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in SWIFT infrastructure support.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- SWIFT Alliance Messaging Hub (AHM)
- SWIFT Alliance Access (SAA)
- SWIFTNet Link
- In-depth knowledge of SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 MX messages.
- Experience in SWIFT FIN, FileAct, and InterAct.
- Strong understanding of SWIFT CSP controls.
- Experience with:
- Linux/Unix environments
- Oracle or SQL databases
- Scripting (Shell, Python preferred)
- Knowledge of HSM configuration and certificate management.
- Experience supporting payment systems (RTGS, SEPA, CHAPS, Fedwire, etc.).
