Business Function:The Regional Strategy & Transformation Office (RSTO) operates within the Group Operations COO function and enables Group Operations’ intelligent future by driving strategy, performance, transformation, workforce enablement, risk culture, people engagement and strategic communications.What the Role IsReporting to the Head of Regional Strategy and Transformation Office, this SVP role serves as both Strategy and Performance Management Lead. The role carries a team leadership mandate, with accountability to shape priorities, orchestrate delivery across multiple pillars, and provide senior-level stewardship over strategy, governance, performance and transformation outcomes.This is a senior, high-visibility leadership role for a strategic operator who can engage Group Ops senior leaders as a trusted thought partner, challenge constructively, connect enterprise priorities, and lead teams to deliver measurable economic, workforce and culture outcomes.What Candidate Will Be Working OnThe Strategy and Performance Management role partners closely with the Heads of Group Operations of Business (LOBO), their respective Strategic Planning and Business Management support teams to drive enterprise scorecard management, financial management, and business management support. A key function includes Strategy formulation, planning and alignment towards Group Operations’ 3-year Strategy.You will be expected to lead through influence and ownership: setting direction, aligning senior stakeholders, coaching pillar leads, identifying trade-offs, and ensuring RSTO operates as one strategic, execution-focused team.Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy Leadership and Alignment: Lead Group Operations’ 3-year strategy planning and annual strategic intent, translating enterprise priorities into clear strategic choices, investment themes, scorecard narratives and execution roadmaps.
  • Enterprise Scorecard Stewardship: Own the design, governance and delivery of the Group Operations scorecard, partnering LOBOs and planning teams to ensure metrics are outcome-based, strategically aligned, and supported by clear performance insights.
  • Financial and Resource Governance: Partner Group Finance and Business HR to provide senior-level visibility over budgets, forecasts, expense and headcount, including strategic cost and FTE saves against BHAGs, targets and transformation priorities.
  • Senior Management Forums and Decision Governance: Lead the operating rhythm for senior forums, ensuring agendas are strategic, discussions are decision-oriented, actions are owned, and follow-through is disciplined and technology-enabled where appropriate.
  • Team Leadership and Capability Uplift: Lead, coach and stretch team members, building a high-performing, AI-enabled team with strong strategic thinking, execution discipline, collaboration and engagement. In tandem with RSTO Head and peer leads, to build up and engage the broader RSTO team to function and promote RSTO capabilities as OneTeam.
Who We Are Looking ForWe are looking for a senior strategy and transformation leader with the presence, judgement and maturity to handle the pace and pressures that demand of this role. The ideal candidate brings enterprise perspective, strong people leadership, sharp commercial and performance discipline, and the ability to turn ambiguity into direction, alignment and outcomes.
  • Significant experience in strategy, COO office, business management, transformation, consulting, programme governance or performance management, preferably in banking, operations, technology or regional environments.
  • Proven senior stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge constructively and build alignment across regional, matrixed and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong people leadership experience, including coaching team leads, building capability, setting direction and sustaining high performance across multiple workstreams.
  • Excellent executive storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data, financials, workforce and transformation topics into crisp leadership narratives and decisions.
  • Strong command of scorecards, financial governance, performance tracking, business reviews, resource management and outcome ownership.
  • Curious, AI-ready and future-oriented, with the confidence to experiment, simplify complexity and lead teams through change.
  • Relevant degree in business, finance, programme management or related field; Master’s degree or consulting experience would be advantageous.
