About Us:

We're on a mission to make it possible for every person, team, and company to be able to tailor their software to solve any problem and take on any challenge. Computers may be our most powerful tools, but most of us can't build or modify the software we use on them every day. At Notion, we want to change this with focus, design, and craft.

We've been working on this together since 2016, and have customers like OpenAI, Toyota, Figma, Ramp, and thousands more on this journey with us. Today, we're growing fast and excited for new teammates to join us who are the best at what they do. We're passionate about building a company as diverse and creative as the millions of people Notion reaches worldwide.

About the Role:

The Startup Market Developer is a key driver of Notion's growth and adoption across the startup ecosystem in Korea. You’ll be the lead operator in one of our most exciting and high-potential markets, responsible for building strong partnerships, running high-ROI campaigns, and capturing the attention of top early-stage founders.

This role reports to the Korea Marketing Lead and will collaborate closely with regional teams across APAC and our global growth marketing organization.

This is a contractor position, with a minimum commitment of 40 hours/week for 6 months, with potential to extend. This role is based in Seoul.

What You'll Achieve:
  • Build and manage a pipeline of high-impact partners across Korea (e.g., SaaS partners, accelerators, VCs, thought leaders, founder communities).

  • Launch localized, high-velocity campaigns that drive cost-efficient acquisition from early-stage startups.

  • Lead onboarding, enablement, and engagement for strategic partners through workshops, events, and resources.

  • Use data to audit performance, segment partners by impact, and double down on what works.

  • Own the Korean startup founder journey—mapping gaps, surfacing insights, and tailoring our GTM accordingly.

  • Act as the voice of the region, sharing learnings and collaborating across global teams to scale successful playbooks.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:
  • Deep understanding of Korea’s startup ecosystem and a passion for supporting early-stage founders.

  • 5+ years in a growth, partnerships, marketing, or BD role—ideally within the tech or startup world.

  • Track record of interacting with startup founders, VC firms, and accelerators

  • Demonstrated expertise in partnerships, business development, and handling successful outbound campaigns.

  • Strong operator instincts: able to take initiative, test ideas quickly, and adapt based on what works.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills with both technical and business audiences.

  • Analytical mindset and comfort using dashboards and experimentation frameworks to inform decisions.

  • Professional fluency in English.

Nice to Haves:
  • Experience as a founder or early hire at a tech startup in Korea.

  • Familiarity with VC, accelerator, or founder community workflows.

  • Power user of Notion with a strong POV on how startups should use it.

  • If you thrive in ambiguity, love being close to builders, and are energized by growing things from scratch, we’d love to hear from you.

We hire talented and passionate people from a variety of backgrounds because we want our global employee base to represent the wide diversity of our customers. If you’re excited about a role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every bullet point listed in the job description, we still encourage you to apply. If you’re a builder at heart, share our company values, and enthusiastic about making software toolmaking ubiquitous, we want to hear from you.
