Job Description

The Reliability Engineering Automation (REA) team prides itself in keeping Visa systems up and secure, catering to the 24*7 needs of the business. The Senior Software Engineer, a highly motivated senior individual contributor based in Singapore, responsible for DevOps experience. As part of the team, you will be required to own key modules, perform code and design architectural reviews, suggest best practices and implement design and development standards. The role is a senior technologist who has the passion to solve problems, factor old codes, learn and pick up new technologies based on the needs of the organization, and level-up on existing expertise. The role will also be required to lead implementations on key modules and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and maintain both on-premise and cloud infrastructure

2. Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using various CI tools

3. Implement and maintain containerization strategies, including CI processes for containerized products

4. Automate deployment, scaling, and management of applications

5. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of systems

6. Collaborate with development teams to improve software delivery processes

7. Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions

8. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

9. Explore and implement GenAI solutions to enhance DevOps processes

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
1. 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
2. Experience in DevOps or similar roles
3. Strong knowledge of both on-premise and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
4. Expertise in CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
5. Proficiency in containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
6. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
7. Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
8. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack)
9. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
10. Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements
11. Experience with database administration and optimisation
12. Familiarity with GenAI technologies and their applications in DevOps
