About the Role:
CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. One component is a “sensor”, which comprises multiple components installed on client machines that observe system activity and recognize malicious behavior, then provides on-box prevention capability and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud.
The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry for each customer’s network and correlates malicious behavior across multiple machines and presents our customers’ operations teams with a prioritized summary of the threats detected in their environments.
CrowdStrike is looking for a Senior Windows Installer Software Development Engineer to join our Windows sensor engineering team.

What You’ll Do:
Design, Develop and maintain a sophisticated Windows Installer solution
Collaborate with other teams across the organization
Work in a collaborative fully remote team
What You'll Need:
Proven experience working on MSI:
Experience debugging MSI logs
Good understanding of msi database tables
Understanding of different types of msi updates.
Familiarity with the nuances of rollback custom actions and rollback scripts
Experience with writing, sequencing and debugging custom actions.
Familiarity with MSI registration (Component references, Product info, etc…)
Proven experience delivering high quality, high performance C++ code
Proven experience with the WiX Toolset/Burn Engine and/or InstallShield
Experience writing and debugging python code
Experience owning a product or a process
Proven history of driving improvements in a product or process
Bonus Points
Experience with debugging SetupApi dev logs
Proven understanding of Windows internals
Proven experience designing large-scale OOD systems

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
