Job Responsibilities:
Key Responsibility
- Manage engineering and functional leads to ensure flawless design, development, launch and maintenance of Radar products to our customers
- Plan and manage the regional RDE budget and engineering footprint for customer Radar programs
- Define regional customer pursuit strategy, supporting sales and core development teams in new business development
- Monitor program execution across multiple customers and products, consolidating and communicating KPIs for regular reporting and escalation as necessary
- Develop and strengthen customer relationships through regular customer engagement
- Serve as escalation point for local engineering and program Management teams
- Stay current with industry trends, development processes, product roadmap, and customer technology plans within automotive Radar
- Communicate regional voice of customer and trends to global engineering management teams
- Review new business opportunities and approve engineering feasibility and cost through quote response activities
- Participate and provide input to global strategy reviews within the Radar product area
- Enforce and monitor team adherence to Magna Electronics product development processes
- Contribute to process development and improvement for existing business practices
- Collaborate with senior leadership to refine operating structure to maximize efficiency
- Set goals and objectives for staff and teams to develop personnel and operating efficiency
Key Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Required
- Master's degree in Business Administration or Engineering Management - Desired
- Minimum of 12 years of automotive electronics experience - Required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project or engineering leadership - Required
- Experience in design, development, or management of automotive Radar products - Required
