Role Overview

The Sr. Manager, Asia Logistics is responsible for leading end-to-end import and export operations across the Asia region while driving global transportation quality excellence. This role oversees Control Tower operations, optimizes air and ocean networks, and ensures consistent, high-quality transportation performance aligned with enterprise, ESC(Enterprise Supply Chain), and corporate objectives.

The position plays a critical leadership role in advancing logistics reliability, service quality, cost efficiency, and operational resilience through strong partner management, performance governance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and oversee Global Logistics Control Tower operations for Asia, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-performing import and export execution.
  • Develop and execute regional logistics strategies aligned with global standards, enterprise priorities, and ESC critical targets.
  • Partner with global logistics leadership to ensure consistent operating models, performance metrics, and quality standards across regions.
  • Lead global transportation quality initiatives, establishing service expectations, quality frameworks, and corrective-action governance with carriers and forwarders.
  • Ensure Asia air and ocean import/export strategies align with global network design, service reliability objectives, and cost-optimization goals.

Operational Management

  • Manage air and ocean transportation flows across Asia to ensure optimal service levels, material availability, and network resilience.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of ocean carriers and freight forwarders against cost, on-time delivery, quality, safety, speed, and reliability metrics.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for transportation disruptions, quality issues, and recurring service failures.
  • Drive standardization of operating procedures, escalation models, and quality controls in partnership with global logistics teams.

Performance & Partner Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers in the region.
  • Lead structured performance and quality reviews with logistics partners, ensuring accountability to service-level agreements and continuous improvement commitments.
  • Define, track, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation quality, reliability, transit time, cost, and service consistency.
  • Act as a regional escalation point for critical logistics and transportation quality issues.

Continuous Improvement & Transformation

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and network design to enhance Control Tower effectiveness and transportation quality.
  • Leverage data, analytics, and digital tools to drive proactive risk management, performance visibility, and decision-making.
  • Stay current on logistics industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in Asia to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Contribute to global logistics transformation initiatives focused on improving end-to-end performance, quality, and customer experience.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in global logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong experience managing air and ocean transportation networks in Asia.
  • Experience leading cross-regional or global initiatives in a matrixed organization.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent).
  • Proven track record in carrier and freight forwarder performance management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Background in transportation quality management, service reliability, or network optimization.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and trade compliance requirements in Asia.

Work location: Woodlands, Singapore
