What You'll be Doing:
- Act as the primary HR Business Partner for North America, supporting leaders across both Toronto and US-based teams
- Own and manage employee relations cases end-to-end, including investigations, performance issues, terminations, and risk mitigation
- Provide expert guidance on US and Canadian employment law, ensuring compliance and best practices across the region
- Partner with leaders to drive performance management, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness
- Support and execute organizational changes, including restructures, workforce planning, and team design
- Coach managers on people-related matters, including performance, development, and team dynamics
- Strengthen and scale People Operations processes, ensuring consistency and a positive employee experience
- Partner with Finance and leadership on headcount planning, workforce insights, and resource allocation
- Collaborate with global HR counterparts across EMEA and APAC to align on processes and initiatives
- Support and guide more junior team members or coordinators as needed across HR operations
About You:
- Solid experience in HR/People roles, including significant experience as an HR Business Partner
- Strong employee relations experience, with confidence managing complex and sensitive cases independently
- Deep knowledge of US and Canadian employment law
- Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Experience partnering with business leaders to drive performance, engagement, and organizational change
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in global or multi-region environments is preferred
- Proactive, resilient, and comfortable taking ownership in a lean team environment
