Role Overview
At Broadridge, the Sr. Client Policy Analyst, Governance will join a specialized research team operating at the intersection of investor and issuer corporate governance practices. This role is focused on proxy voting across the full lifecycle, including policy implementation, research, execution, data management, and reporting.
This is a unique opportunity to build deep expertise in the evolving corporate governance landscape and its role in capital markets. The successful candidate will support both internal stakeholders and external clients by analyzing proxy votes, identifying voting trends, and helping ensure client policies are accurately reflected in the voting process.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a genuine curiosity about corporate governance and financial markets. While prior corporate governance experience is valuable, it is not required for someone eager to learn and grow in the field.
Responsibilities
Ensure client voting policies are accurately implemented and effectively executed
Update, maintain, and enhance governance databases and related records
Analyze issuer filings, proxy statements, and other disclosures to assess corporate governance practices
Leverage analytical tools and models to identify patterns in proxy voting activity and governance trends, delivering both quantitative and qualitative insights
Support internal teams and external clients by understanding and responding to voting, reporting, and governance insight needs
Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned
Your Profile
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
Experience:
5+ years of experience in governance research, proxy voting, or a related field
Familiarity with issuer corporate governance research in the Americas (preferred)
Skills:
Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail with strong organizational and project management abilities
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities
Tools:
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Familiarity with Python is preferred
Experience working with databases and structured data
