Job Description

Job Title: Senior Category Leader

Location: Marsiling or The Capricorn - 1 Science Park Road Singapore Science Park 2

Develop and implement sourcing strategies as Senior Category Leader at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop SEAT indirect processes, systems, and handle indirect category and operations.
  • Collaborate closely with SEAT BU partners, finance, and internal audit for indirect sourcing activities.
  • Collaborate with collaborators to understand and expand the SEAT indirect category strategy across the region.
  • Lead indirect categories such as Utility, Facilities, Site Services, Capex, MRO & Lab Supplies, IT, Packaging, T&E, Warehousing & Logistics, Corporate Services, Marketing & MICE, and Professional Services (Finance/Legal).
  • Improve procurement operational excellence and optimize procurement processes.
  • Track and mitigate procurement operation risks, ensuring strict compliance with corporate IA & IC policies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of purchasing experience with at least 3 years in team leadership.
  • Shown expertise in the Sourcing to Buy process; indirect sourcing process excellence is preferred.
  • Outstanding partner management and communication skills.
  • Quick learner, self-motivated, with a track record of working effectively in a VUCA environment.
  • Experience with SAP & Oracle E1 preferred.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin required for liaising with Mandarin-speaking business associates.
  • Regional experience in South East Asia & Taiwan.
