Leadership of the squad, overseeing the adherence to technology, software development life cycle standards and policies, promoting a continuous improvement culture in the Squad
• Squad Leads, have the responsibilities to drive technical improvements in the SDLC and automation frameworks.
• Squad Leads, have the responsibilities to professionally develop the teams and encourage knowledge sharing.
• Squad Leads, have the responsibilities in terms of productivity, quality and delivery planning for the Squads in coordination with the Tribe Leads as well adherence with planning timelines.
• Squad Leads, or "squad" leaders, serve a crucial purpose in the agile matrix. They aren\'t the "boss" of the people on their team. They help plan and orchestrate execution of the work, and they strive to build a cohesive team. They also provide inspiration, coaching, and feedback to team members, report back on progress to tribe leaders, and give input on people development and performance to relevant Tribe or Chapter leaders. The Squad Leads/Squad leaders acts as individual contributors who have developed leadership skills or at least developed an interest in learning these skills. The Squad Lead/Squad-leader role can be more or less formal and can even change over time depending on what the team is working on. The Squad Leads/Squad leaders will grow into Tribe or Chapter leaders, while others will continue as individual contributors with the additional skill of agile leadership.
• Squad Leads are integral to clearing blockers and impediments, and eliminating waste for the squad. In order to do that, he must create a working environment where raising impediments can occur, and members are not afraid to raise risks and impediments. As a servant leader, the Squad Lead guides the team towards self- organization and cross-functionality. He also encourages, supports, and enables the team to reach their full potential and abilities.
• Squad Leads champion scrum principles at the squad level, encouraging squad members to participate in scrum ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives, and feature planning. He facilitates the agile "way of working" in day-to-day activities, and helps the scrum ceremonies be purposeful and effective. He also facilitates the continuous improvement process whereby members can drive various initiatives to improve the way they work.
• Squad Leads also support Product Owners manage the backlog by organising and facilitating timely grooming sessions with the squad.
Technical Skills & Experience -API Developer- (Oracle DB, Java)
• Should possess application development experience in Java/J2EE 7/8, following industry recognized software development life cycle.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient APIs and microservices.
API design and implementation, ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
Implement secure and reliable API integration with external systems and third-party services.
Writing SQL queries and PL/SQL stored procedures to fetch data for reports.
Excellent knowledge and experience in Databases development using PL/SQL
Expert experience with Spring Framework, Spring Batch, MicroServices and Eureka, API Gateway architecture.
API Design: Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs, including API versioning, documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI), and best practices.
API Security: Knowledge of securing APIs using OAuth2, JWT, and best practices for securing microservices.
Integration: Experience with integrating APIs with third-party systems, databases, and cloud services.
Proficient in Spring Boot, Swagger, Tomcat 8, Maven, Jenkins, GIT, Postman/Newman, RESTful Services, Containers.
Demonstrate strong programming skills using JSON, Web Services, XML, XSLT, PL/SQL in Unix and Windows environments.
Good object oriented and problem-solving skills.
Education
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar domain
• Related professional/technical qualification will be advantageous although not mandatory
