We’re looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our Spend (Cards) Operations team. You'll be the driving force behind developing and launching attractive, new value-added services specifically designed to attract new cardholders and increase card usage among existing customers. This role requires exceptional project management skills, a strategic, market-driven mindset, and a strong focus on financial tracking and service performance. If you are a results-oriented Project Manager excited to use innovation to drive card growth, we invite you to apply!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full implementation lifecycle of new card add-on services from the operational lens supporting Product teams through to successful launch.
- Develop detailed project plans, manage timelines, identify dependencies and proactively mitigate risks.
- Serve as the central point of contact, orchestrating efforts across various internal teams including Product, Operations, Banking, Legal and Customer Support. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project goals, requirements, and deadlines.
- Oversee the technical and operational onboarding of new services, ensuring seamless integration with existing card platforms and infrastructure. This includes managing third-party onboarding with internal Wise teams, contractual reviews, executing user tests and preparing operational readiness.
- Establish, track, and report on the performance of all new card services, with a critical focus on achieving defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This includes rigorous monitoring of vendor performance against contractual obligations, actively managing the financial and operational aspects of their contracts, and initiating corrective action to ensure optimal service quality and adoption.
- Responsible for the accurate tracking and reporting of the financial performance of new services, including project costs, operational expenses, and generated revenue. Provide regular metrics updates and forecasts to leadership.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, operational workflows, and knowledge base articles. Continuously seek opportunities to optimize and standardize the go-to-market process for innovative card offerings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in project management, preferably within the financial services, payments, or card industry.
- Solid understanding of credit/debit card products and a keen sense of what value-added services (e.g., premium benefits, loyalty mechanics, unique offers) are effective at driving customer acquisition and card spend.
- Ability to translate strategic marketing and product goals (like attracting new customers) into concrete, manageable project plans and operational requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to influence, motivate teams, and clearly articulate project impact to executive stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
- Great communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- You’re comfortable working within teams that face complex issues and take charge in difficult situations, such as engineers or product teams.
- You are a problem-solver, identifying gaps, implementing solutions, and driving continuous improvement.
- You have experience optimizing processes with internal and external partners, focusing on KPIs and SLAs.
- You know how to use data to prioritise tasks that have the most value-add to customers' and measure the impact.
- You prioritize customers and take initiative to drive results.
- A strong communicator, you adapt your style to different audiences.
- You foster an open, collaborative team environment and are passionate about technology and customer experience.
- Skilled at building relationships, you work closely with product teams and external partners, staying curious and committed to learning.
