PURPOSE – Specialist - QA
Oversees and designs quality assurance testing across the technology lifecycle, identifying and addressing issues to bring in alignment with standards and technology strategy. This is an opportunity for someone with proven, hands on experience on testing and leading a quality assurance team in a relevant domain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead all aspects of quality assurance process and responsible for technical implementation of quality control, testing and analysis, providing mentorship where issues arise.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA.
  • Lead a team of Quality Engineers who own fully automated regression test suite and assure quality of the functional changes of the releases.
  • Work with Software Engineering teams to design BDD test cases and to implement automated test scenarios.
  • Work with upstream development teams to implement functionality with quality at source.
  • Builds positive relationships with team and colleagues, collaborating closely with all the team members.
  • Leads a wide range of quality control planning and execution activities in alignment with the organization’s standards and strategy to ensure that software meets the specified business and customer needs.
  • Promote partnership, high performance and, ensuring standards and industry practices are followed via agile scrum methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/IT/Computer Science (or equivalent) from a recognized university
  • Expertise in JAVA (C++ or Python is a benefit)
  • 5+ years of work experience in a reputed engineering organization, involved in quality control for large scale technology transformation programs preferably in financial market infrastructure space.
  • Strong leadership skills, analytical skills and problem-solving mentality.
  • Strong experience in CI/CD tools, automation processes, software quality assurance processes & methodologies and experience in Java test frameworks, Selenium/Playwright.
  • Experience in financial markets domain.

SKILLS AND PROFICIENCY

Quality assurance :-Guiding the team to ensure a product/service meets or exceeds specified standards and objectives to achieve desired level of quality.

Test framework development / test scripting:- Guiding the team in developing, maintaining test framework and test scripts, demonstrates creativity and innovation using available software testing tools.

In-depth/breadth tech expertise:- In depth technical expertise, knowledge of technologies and design, development and implementation of technologies related to QA.

Problem solving:- Defines a problem, generates solutions, and evaluates and identifies the best solution to overcome the problem.

Communication:- Communicates with clarity and precision, presenting complex / technical information in a concise format that is audience appropriate.

Documentation:- Creates and maintains documentation to describe the system functionalities, testing requirements, framework design decisions, architecture of the test framework, test strategy, etc.
