Prepaid is an integral and growing part of Mastercard’s consumer business in Asia-Pacific, encompassing both conventional card-based prepaid programs as well as new digital fintech-linked solutions. Prepaid is a key means for Mastercard to enable new payment flows, facilitate the entry into the payments marketplace for new participants, as well as deliver new ways to pay.
The regional prepaid team is responsible for management and innovative development of products and services to address the need gaps of evolving customer segments and drive financial inclusion agenda in Asia Pacific.
Job Description
What a Specialist-Prepaid Product Management does at Mastercard:
As a Specialist for consumer prepaid solutions, you will work closely with the regional lead for Prepaid in Asia Pacific to manage and drive mid to long-term prepaid and fintech product related product growth strategy and execution. This includes aspects of product development/management and execution of Go-To-Market strategies.
The role requires managing strategic initiatives for a commercialized product. The individual will contribute to product innovation, optimize products and resources, and collaborate with teams to implement incremental improvements within the product’s life cycle.
Role:
• Work with Mastercard’s global/local stakeholders to define and deliver a set of Mastercard branded/affiliated capabilities to drive competitive advantage.
• Monitor and report on competition, market evolution and trends, analyze results from ongoing and past research efforts and recommend appropriate action plans.
• Collaborate with various client-facing teams to develop solutions for both internal and external clients, manage ongoing client support activities and provide client consultation.
• Promote comprehensive education on the overall product value propositions and support Mastercard internal client-facing teams to implement portfolio enhancement initiatives to drive client business growth.
• Be responsible for maintaining internal/external facing sales and training materials.
• Manage progress, reports and roadmap on ongoing projects.
• Business planning, management reporting, analytics.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
• Strong execution bias to drive initiatives and meet key goals.
• Outcome oriented, creative in problem solving, highly skilled at managing and coordinating multiple stakeholders in a high-paced environment.
• Sound business acumen, analytical skills and keen understanding of new technology payment business models and profitability drivers.
• Experience in delivering product & business solutions and keen interest in payment technology & innovation.
• Ability to multi-task and strong attention to details.
• Motivated, flexible, self-directed and desire to thrive on small project teams.
• Outstanding communication, organizational and negotiation skills with strong ability to influence.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from a reputed University.
• The following attributes are desirable:
• Understanding of payments industry, or experience in financial services & fintechs will be an advantage.
• Strong cross-functional/multi stakeholder management skills.
• Collaborative style with experience working in a regional/global team.
