The Solution Sales Director, Risk & Audit will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth for Diligent’s Risk & Audit solutions across new and existing accounts. This role is designed for a commercially minded professional with deep expertise in risk management, audit, or compliance, who can credibly engage senior stakeholders and position Diligent’s platform as a strategic enabler of governance excellence.
As an individual contributor, this role manages the full sales cycle—from initial prospect meetings through to deal closure—while leveraging internal expertise to deliver value and expand account relationships. The successful candidate will bring a consultative, solution-oriented approach to selling and will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience.
Success in this role will be measured by driving adoption of Diligent’s Risk & Audit solutions, expanding product usage in existing customers, and generating new business opportunities across the region.
Key ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate and maintain expert-level knowledge of Diligent’s Risk & Audit solutions and broader GRC platform.
Prospect, manage, and grow business within the designated territory, focusing on complex, strategic accounts with longer sales cycles.
Apply a consultative sales approach, leveraging domain expertise to understand customer challenges and position the Diligent One Platform effectively.
Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders (e.g., Chief Risk Officers, Chief Audit Executives, Compliance Leaders).
Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align on go-to-market activities and ensure consistent value delivery across the customer lifecycle.
Develop and execute strategic account plans that identify new business, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities.
Manage the end-to-end sales cycle using Diligent-approved sales methodologies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, pipeline forecasts, and reporting.
Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging risk and audit priorities that shape customer needs.
Provide feedback to internal stakeholders on market insights, customer requirements, and competitive intelligence.
8+ years of experience in enterprise software or SaaS sales, with a strong track record of success in the Risk, Audit, or Compliance domain.
Deep understanding of risk management, audit processes, and internal control frameworks, either as a seller or a practitioner in these fields.
Proven ability to achieve or exceed revenue targets and manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
Strong consultative and strategic selling skills, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, particularly at the executive level.
High curiosity and customer empathy, with the ability to uncover needs through effective questioning and listening.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Familiarity with CRM and sales enablement tools to manage pipeline and forecast accuracy.
