WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
SimCorp APAC is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our APAC team in Singapore. This role is critical in supporting all functional aspects of the sales process and solving complex prospects challenges through SimCorp’s multi-asset investment management platform. You will work closely with the wider Sales team and other internal teams to configure and deliver compelling demonstrations, scope solutions, and help solve complex client challenges. Your contribution will drive deal success and client trust across APAC.
The role will focus on portfolio management activities and related workflows, while also touching on broader aspects of SimCorp’s end-to-end solution across data, risk & performance, compliance, order management, operations, and accounting.
What you will be responsible for:
In this position, you will concentrate on the functional and technical elements of the sales cycle—managing detailed preparation and configuration tasks to facilitate and present high-quality demonstrations and Proof of Concepts. Your initiatives will assist in overcoming challenges faced by prospective clients and promote trust, with a focus on attracting new clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain internal demonstration environment to ensure readiness for client demos.
- Assist in responding to RFPs/RFIs and preparing tailored solution proposals.
- Partner with the wider Sales team to own functional components of the sales cycle across APAC opportunities.
- Deliver impactful product & functional presentations to prospects.
- Participate in discovery sessions to understand client pain points and map solutions.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (Product, Professional Services, SMEs) to align solution design with client needs.
- Proof of Concepts and contribute to functional and technical aspects for demos, including scripts.
- Stay up to date on market developments and link them to platform workflows.
- Light to moderate travel as required for sales activity.

Key Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in FinTech (implementations, transformations, presales, or relationship management with functional/commercial exposure) with exposure to portfolio management activities.
- Demonstrated skills in creative problem-solving, complemented by a thoroughness in detail.
- Good understanding of financial markets and investment processes.
- Foundational technical knowledge (e.g., APIs, data workflows) and familiarity with multi-asset (securities, derivatives, loans, public and private assets).
- Proficient in sharing information and delivering presentations; skilled in clarifying complicated concepts.
- Ability to perform well in a fluid work atmosphere and adjust quickly.
