This is a remote position.
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support a Digital Referrals and Orders (DRO) initiative within a large provincial healthcare environment. The Solution Architect will be responsible for translating complex functional and non-functional requirements into scalable technical architecture and solution designs. The successful candidate will work closely with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, Technical Analysts, Developers, Subject Matter Experts, and other stakeholders to design and validate solutions that align with enterprise architecture strategies. The role will have a strong focus on healthcare technology, enterprise architecture, healthcare interoperability, application integration, Salesforce, diagnostic domains, and large-scale digital health transformation.
Requirements
- Ten (10) year’s recent, related experience in enterprise and/or solution architecture and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups.
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a degree in data science, health information science, and/or computer science, including training and/or experience in enterprise architecture in the healthcare domain.
- Experience working within the BC Health Sector and/or similar province-wide health systems (preferably across multiple provinces and/or national experience)
- Experience with architecture in diagnostic domains, including laboratory, medical imaging
- Experience in large-scale healthcare interoperability or integration projects
- Ability to effectively navigate and deliver results in a large and complex environment.
- Forward thinking, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts and topics in lay terms to non-subject matter experts and build consensus and credibility among diverse stakeholders.
- Proven success in architecting enterprise solutions with an emphasis on business/strategic considerations.
- Able to work expeditiously as an individual contributor and as a team member.
- Ability to coordinate, prioritize and complete multiple tasks.
