Overview
At Xtremax, we help government agencies and enterprises build robust, scalable, and future-ready digital systems. As a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in defining the end-to-end architecture, translating business requirements into technical designs, and ensuring solutions align with the Customer’s enterprise architecture. This role combines technical leadership, system design, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver impactful digital solutions. Candidates with public sector experience are preferred, as this role supports IT projects for government agencies.
Responsibility:
- Evaluate technical proposals from vendors supplying process control monitoring systems, AGVs, cremator equipment and integration.
- Assess vendor solutions for feasibility, integration capability and delivery capacity, and provide recommendations to support procurement decisions.
- Establish system integration standards including Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and technical architecture principles.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, including industrial control system guidelines and cybersecurity requirements.
- Supervise and guide appointed system integrators across all project phases.
- Review architectural blueprints, integration plans and technical specifications.
- Monitor conversion of operational requirements into technical specifications and process workflows.
- Oversee testing activities including Master Acceptance Test Plans and integrated system validation.
- Conduct risk assessments including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Coordinate stakeholders including authorities, contractors, consultants and system vendors.
- Provide technical guidance and report system risks, progress and recommendations to management.
- Support governance meetings and verify system-related contractor payments.
RequirementsMandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in solution architecture or systems integration.
- Experience working with industrial control systems, SCADA or process control monitoring systems.
- Strong understanding of system integration methodologies, interface management and risk management practices (FMEA).
- Experience supervising system integrators and coordinating multiple vendor engagements.
- Experience evaluating complex technical proposals and architecture designs.
- Experience supporting system acceptance testing, commissioning and validation.
- Strong understanding of change management and configuration control processes.
- Experience working with Singapore Government agencies or statutory boards on industrial control or infrastructure projects.
- Experience with building automation or facility management systems.
- Familiarity with automated guided vehicle (AGV) systems or industrial automation environments.
- Knowledge of specialised operational facilities such as crematorium operations.
- Certifications in enterprise architecture or project management (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, PMP, PRINCE2).
