As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Global Fixed Income Currency & Commodities (GFICC) Portfolio Management Technology team, you will play a key role in delivering secure, stable, and scalable solutions to support the firm's business objectives. You will work collaboratively as part of an agile team to enhance and build a market-leading Fixed Income Portfolio Management system. Job responsibilities
- Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
- Collaborate with global teams to deliver core builds and resolve dependencies with a delivery-focused mindset.
- Act as a technical liaison for the APAC GFICC desk, maintaining high visibility and clear communication.
- Identify and articulate gaps between global build and regional requirements, collaborating with product owners and project managers to drive delivery.
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training in software engineering concepts and 2+ years hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Fixed income experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with microservices & modern front-end technologies [Java/Spring Boot, JavaScript/React]
- Exposure to cloud & distributed architectures [AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka] and monitoring [Splunk, Datadog, Grafana]
