Job Description
A Software Engineer at IFS is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of software included in IFS Cloud. This critical role involves the interpretation and analysis of functional and technical requirements to create enterprise-grade software that meets the highest standards of business value, usability, maintainability, security, and performance.
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to join our multinational team distributed across Sri Lanka, US, and Canada. As a Software Engineer in our organization, you will be entrusted with ensuring timely delivery and adherence to our strategic objectives.
The position encompasses the following essential responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust software solutions based on stringent customer requirements and strategic directives
- Rigorously apply appropriate engineering and architectural concepts to ensure optimal system design
- Conduct comprehensive testing to guarantee software quality and reliability
- Engage in critical communication with stakeholders to ensure the solution meets all specified requirements
- Disseminate knowledge and provide guidance to colleagues, contributing to the overall expertise of the team
- Contribute significantly to product and program management activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Qualifications
- A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology
- Strong knowledge in database concepts and techniques
- Knowledge in quality assurance, software security and performance
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Previous working experience with enterprise-grade software and/or domain knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry processes is a definite advantage.
