The Team You’ll Work With

Carta is looking for a Chief of Staff  Intern to join our Singapore team between February and June 2025. 

Carta opened its Singapore office in 2021, and since then, has been building a world-class team to support the startup and investor ecosystem across Asia Pacific. The Singapore team is lean and agile, and composed of local venture industry experts and Carta experts. 

The Chief of Staff Intern  will report up to the APAC Managing Director  and get the chance to work firsthand on a range of projects, including driving operational efficiency, fostering effective communication, and providing strategic support. Your expertise will contribute to the growth and success of Carta's APAC region.

The Problems You’ll Solve

  • Serve as a key resource and thought partner to the MD to help define and drive key  initiatives by identifying  areas for improvement, implementing best practices, and optimizing processes
  • General Social Media: Work directly with the APAC MD and marketing team to develop goals and a social media strategy for key leaders/spokespeople, and subsequently craft out the content
  • Act  as a liaison between APAC leadership  and stakeholders to facilitate clear and timely communication
  • Prepare and coordinate materials for executive meetings, leadership offsites, strategic engagements, and weekly organizational meetings
  • Develop presentations for MD  speaking engagements 
  • Prep pre-event social media designs, work with creative agencies to produce post-event social media collateral, as well as provide on-the-ground support for the marketing team
  • Analytics: Work with the marketing team  to develop and optimize reporting for social media to drive data-driven decisions
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

The Impact You’ll Have

The Managing Director APAC is responsible for all aspects of the business in the region, spanning from sales and marketing all the way through to delivery and G&A, across multiple business units.  By serving as his chief of staff, you’ll have a very unique opportunity to understand and impact the entire Carta business by partnering with him on a wide variety of tasks and projects that are top of mind for him.

About You

  • Studying Bachelors Degree in a relevant field (business, marketing, comms)
  • Previous internship or work experience in marketing would be preferred
  • Desire to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Interest in B2B technology  as well as the startup space
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise good judgment, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

  • Experience with other marketing and sales platforms (such as Salesforce, Marketo, Figma, Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads)
  • Proficiencies with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite (GSuite)
  • Knowledge of the startup and venture capital ecosystem
