Job Description Summary
Project 1: The AI/ML Solutions team in GlobalFoundries has a primary mission of delivering data engineering, advanced analytics, and machine learning applications that advance our Smart Manufacturing effort. We are involved in the entire application lifecycle from concept to deployment. The intern for this role will contribute to our understanding of how AI/ML technologies can help solve business problems.
Project 2: The person in this role will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization and support of enhancements and deficiency corrections, and will contribute to continuous technical improvement activities and roadmap of functionality and features. You will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated, high-quality data integration and business intelligence solutions that address analysis needs of engineers up to executive management in a modern semiconductor company

Project Title 1: AI/ML Solutions Intern
Essential Responsibilities include:
- Engineer the data as needed to enable analytics and machine learning application development
- Learn and explore new technologies in the AI/ML space
- Strong data analysis and visualization skills
- Ensure that processes are well documented
- Present project status to peers and the leadership team as needed
Project Title 2: Business Intelligence Intern
Essential Responsibilities include:
- Develop business intelligence reports for manufacturing and business teams
- Leverage massive data sets for modeling, recommendations, and insight generation
- Mine large data sets to help engineers and business users gather insights and make data-driven decisions
- Develop data models for efficient query and BI tool performance
- Work directly with project stakeholders and collect business requirements
- Work on cross functional global teams to execute on large scale global BI projects
- Maintain and support existing BI infrastructure in a highly complex and fast paced environment
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
