Caterpillar currently has an opportunity for a Service Technician (Medium Speed Engine) in Singapore.
The primary responsibilities for this position will be to (but not limited to):

  • Performs replacement of parts and assemblies under the guide of service engineer.
  • Under the guide of service engineer, works from service manuals, maintenance manuals, and facility equipment schematics.
  • Performs tasks with minimum supervision using experience and good judgment.
  • Must be able to operate all maintenance equipment and exercise all construction equipment safely for intended purpose.
  • Communicates verbally in an effective manner with technical staff, other employees and vendors on facility equipment problems or suggested improvements.
  • Use basic soldering and brazing skills as needed.
  • Possess a basic understanding of facility systems and construction techniques.


* You will be entitled to overtime pay if overtime work is required .
* This role may be required to travel for work overseas occasionally.
Required Skill and Experience:

  • Must have vessel engine repair experience
  • Should demonstrate good mechanical comprehension and strong communication skills with technical staff and fellow employees
  • Knowledge of maintenance, ability to communicate with other technical personnel and machine repair practices and procedures
