We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, AI Engineer to join our APAC AI Hub team. This role is located in Singapore and will collaborate closely with regional stakeholders and global AI Hub engineering teams.
This is a senior hands-on engineering role responsible for leading the design and delivery of complex AI products and platform capabilities. The successful candidate will combine applied AI expertise with strong software engineering judgment to translate product and business priorities into reliable, secure, and scalable enterprise solutions.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across multiple AI engineering initiatives, guiding solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production readiness.
- Design and build complex AI applications and reusable capabilities using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic systems, model integrations, and related technologies.
- Develop and integrate backend services, APIs, context pipelines, platform components, and developer tools that support our enterprise AI platform and other AI Hub products.
- Translate business and product requirements into clear technical designs, implementation plans, and scalable software architectures.
- Establish strong engineering practices across code quality, automated testing, model evaluation, CI/CD, security, privacy, observability, resilience, and technical-debt management.
- Evaluate model and technology options, conduct technical studies and prototypes, and provide recommendations that support informed architecture and product decisions.
- Partner with Product, Architecture, AI Governance, Risk, Compliance, and regional engineering teams to ensure AI capabilities meet enterprise and regional requirements.
- Resolve complex engineering and production issues, identify systemic improvements, and support the ongoing reliability and performance of deployed AI services.
- Mentor engineers, lead technical reviews, and promote reusable patterns and consistent engineering standards across teams.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience, is required.
- Advanced experience, preferably 10+ years, in applied AI/ML, software engineering, platform engineering, or related disciplines.
- Strong experience leading the technical delivery of complex, production-grade AI applications, services, or enterprise platform capabilities.
- Deep knowledge of LLM-based application development, retrieval-augmented generation, agents, model evaluation, prompt engineering, session context management, fine-tuning approaches, and MLOps/LLMOps.
- Extensive experience developing backend services, APIs, integrations, distributed systems, cloud-based applications, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Strong understanding of full-lifecycle software development, including requirements analysis, architecture, coding, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, guide technical decisions, and influence stakeholders across engineering, product, governance, risk, and business teams.
- Experience collaborating across APAC and global teams located in US or India time-zones; experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry is preferred.
