Since opening in 2008, Ubisoft Singapore has become the biggest AAA game development studio in Southeast Asia. Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Be a part of the UI/UX team: Create flows, wireframes, prototypes and other documentation using Figma to simulate features.
  • Be a part of the implementation process by working with Ubisoft’s in-house UI tools to take your plans from paper to playable, working closely with our UI Artists, Tech Artists and Programmers along the way.[RK1] 
  • Engage closely with Game Designers to adapt their design intentions and recommend the best solution for players.
  • Interface with engineering teams to understand potential limitations and balance tech needs while aiming for a better user experience.
  • Analyze user test reports and translate them into actionable design iterations.
  • Own the full lifecycle of a feature, from conception through development to delivery.
  • Champion UX values within the team and lead by example.
  • Ensure UI complies with Ubisoft's accessibility and other guidelines.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Experience in Game Design or UX Design - we are open to both experienced Game Designers with UX skillsets or trained UX Designers.
  • Proficiency in designing clear wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user flows using Figma, Powerpoint, or other mock-up software.
  • Experience working with game engine tools to implement content, whether it be UI, levels, or otherwise.
  • A player-centric mindset, advocating for the player's perspective.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate, rationalize, and empathize with user needs effectively.
  • Ability to assume ownership for the UX of multiple features.
  • Ability to rapidly produce high-quality work and iterate as needed to arrive at the best solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in AAA games.
  • Prior experience in both Game Design and UX Design.
  • Experience designing accessible interfaces or features.
  • Artistic skills or experience (Photoshop, etc) are a plus.
  • A passion for gaming.
