Lead the engineering and maintenance function for process equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations in accordance with cGMP, EHS, and GEP requirements. The role is responsible for overseeing equipment lifecycle management from design review, commissioning, qualification, and validation through routine maintenance and continuous improvement. In addition, the incumbent will optimize equipment performance, minimize downtime, support manufacturing operations, and deliver capital project objectives while maintaining regulatory compliance and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

1. Production Engineering

  • Lead the operation, maintenance, and reliability of production equipment to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

  • Drive preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability, reliability, and compliance.

  • Ensure maintenance activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with cGMP, EHS, and engineering standards.

  • Monitor system performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency.

2. Engineering Projects & Capital Investment

  • Lead the engineering execution of CAPEX projects, equipment upgrades, and site modifications from planning through implementation.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Manage contractors and service providers to ensure quality project execution.

  • Support commissioning, qualification (IQ/OQ), documentation, and project handover activities.

5. Continuous Improvement & Technical Support

  • Lead deviation investigations, CAPA implementation, and compliance improvement initiatives.

  • Drive operational excellence, reliability improvement, and cost optimization programs across the site.

  • Monitor departmental budgets, OPEX/CAPEX spending, and resource utilization.

Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goal.

  • Degree in relevant engineering field with at least 4 years of relevant engineering experience or Technical Diploma with at least 6 years of relevant engineering experience.

  • At least 5 years of technical experience in Bio/Pharm Industry for Degree or at least 7 years of technical experience in Bio/Pharm Industry for Technical Diploma

  • Highly knowledgeable and competent in their field of work.

  • Strong technical knowledge and well verse in all technical aspects.

  • Demonstrate excellent GMP behaviour and safe practices.

  • Substantial fault-finding and trouble-shooting experience.

  • Strong leadership in team management.

  • Good analytical skill in investigation.

  • Lead complex issues investigation and detailed troubleshooting.
