Dynatrace Documentation is a critical asset in driving user adoption of our unified observability, security, and business platform, providing navigation through the multi-faceted functionality Dynatrace offers and helping users extract the most value out of Dynatrace. Our team develops the Documentation and enables other Dynatracers to contribute to it.
As a Technical Writer, you'll own documentation for a product area and work closely with development teams to deliver the documentation for them.

Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 44,500 gross per year based on full-time employment (38.5 h/week). We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.

As a Technical Writer, you'll own documentation for a product area and work closely with development teams to deliver the documentation for them.
- You'll create concise, clear, and accurate product explanations that can be easily grasped by non-technical users.
- Serve as an editor for fellow technical writers and documentation contributors.
- Be the first adopter of Dynatrace.
- Use your technical knowledge to navigate complex use cases and document them in an easy-to-consume way.
- Be a user advocate, connecting the perspectives of developers and users together.
- Provide guidance for documentation contributors to enable them to work autonomously.
- Share your knowledge and expertise and mentor fellow technical writers.
- Work in the docs-as-code process using a markdown-based static site, VSCode, and Git.
- Work within a truly global R&D team, including software engineers, product managers, and designers, with offices in Austria, Poland, Spain, Estonia, Israel, and the US.
What will help you succeed
- A technical degree paired with writing experience in writing OR a linguistic degreepaired with technology-related experience.
- 3+ years of experience in technical communication, with a focus on creating user documentation for software.
- Superb level of English.
- Ability to produce clear, precise, and conversational copy for the web.
- Ability to learn quickly and drive to learn constantly.
- Ability to understand both developers and users of software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in an agile software development environment.
- Proficiency in Markdown, Git, Jira, and PowerShell.
