As a Senior Tech Lead, you will join a global FX engineering team who develops and maintains a global trading solution for FX NDF Matching platform that brings together the benefits of an NDF central limit order book and clearing to offer a unique solution for the global foreign exchange market fulfilling the demand for NDF market infrastructure in Asia and around the globe.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the entire trading lifecycle, from data feeds to order execution and pre-trade risk management functionalities in FX NDF Exchange and Credit systems
- Produce high-quality software, design, and functional documentation focusing on both functional and non-functional requirements
- Work with product owners, architects and others to implement outstanding solutions that meet regulatory and customer needs
- Provide estimates for specific software feature implementation
- Identify, prioritize and implement tasks in the Software Development Life Cycle
- Build unit and component tests for your code and follow test-driven development processes to achieve quality standards
- Perform non-functional testing where necessary to verify the system meets required performance SLAs and resiliency requirements
- Develop and maintain tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code that follows open sourcing standards
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
- Provide senior-level guidance to tech leads by overseeing solution design, driving implementation best practices, and conducting thorough design and code reviews
- Possess a strong understanding of the system’s overall architecture and collaborate closely with solution architects to drive technical strategy
- Actively participate in an Agile Scrum team, contributing to the grooming, planning, execution, and review of sprints
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional peers to ensure smooth delivery of software features
- Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies and standards
- Assist front-line support teams in resolving customer and production issues
- Act as a people manager for the engineers in the team providing leadership and mentorship
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/IT/Computer Science (or equivalent) from a recognized university
- Proven software engineering and architect background in C++ or Java technologies
- Over 5 years of industry experience and at least 1 years’ experience at a similar capacity
- Experience in providing technical leadership to medium size teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively across teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships
- Thorough understanding of the full SDLC and related tools
- Hands-on UNIX/Linux System Administration skills, with hands-on experience managing complex environments
- Experience and knowledge in agile methodologies
- Experience in software engineering principles, CI/CD tools and automation processes
- Experience in financial market infrastructure space preferably in FX trading is a strong plus
- Knowledge and experience with exchange/credit related systems are added benefit
