Department OverviewDesign & Develop batteries, AC/DC, DC/DC power supplies, chargers, vehicular chargers and solar energy storage systems for highly-sophisticated two way communication and video products used in professional & mission critical markets of the commercial, government & industrial segments.
Job Description

Design and development of new products development activities from conceptual stage to mass production including:

- Develop systems that combine solar PhotoVoltaic (PV ) technology with battery storage solutions to provide a stable and continuous power supply for Outdoor system renewable energy mainly for video Solution integration.

- Design battery selection, capacity and battery pack configuration to match solar energy and integration requirements.

- Design the system based on factors eg: lifecycle, efficiency, application and cost requirements.

- Integrate the system with smart technology to facilitate remote diagnostics and predictive maintenance.

- Performing electrical verification test per product specifications and writing test reports

- Releasing electrical prints and parts qualification reports.

- Evaluates complex components and develops the necessary test procedures and fixtures to ensure compliance with the functional specifications.

- Participates in the testing and evaluations of complex designs to ensure compliance with the functional requirements. Detailed analysis of the results will be reviewed with a higher-level engineer or supervisor. The incumbent is expected to develop the necessary instrumentation skills and learn the standards that are relative to the designs. 

- Participates in feasibility studies, prepare and participate in concept, design and safety reviews.

Basic Requirements

At least a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines

-  Minimum of 10 years working experience in related fields.

- Familiar with PhotoVoltaic (PV) hardware and systems and design requirements.

- Familiar with solar storage battery chemistries, design and energy management requirements.

- Good in analytical and problem solving skills.

- Able to communicate & present conceptual ideas to the technical audiences.

- Familiar with design guidelines of electrical commodities.

- Basic knowledge in manufacturing & assembly process & application of design for manufacturing & assembly.

- Familiarity with schematic & layout design will be an added advantage.

- Familiar with six sigma methodology or green belt/black certified will be added advantage

- Familiar with energy storage and environmental regulations/standards
